Remarkably, during a genocide that would eventually claim upwards of a million lives, this is one of the only times a killing was caught on video by the media – perhaps the only time. The praying man Hughes regarded through his camera lens is literally one in a million…. the footage flashed across television screens around the world – CNN, Australian Broadcasting and German giant ZDF – but somehow, it didn't make any difference.
