Terms of reference for SE38Compatibility studies between the licence exempt Fixed Wireless Access (HIPERMAN) system and other radio services • Chairman: Tony Buckley, Ireland • Under the direction of WGSE, SE38 shall carryout compatibility studies in the band 5725-5875MHz between the licence exempt Fixed Wireless Access (HIPERMAN) system (as described by the relevant SRDoc provided by ETSI TR10279) and other services and systems such as: • The Radiolocation Service • RTTT • Fixed Service (Point to Point Links) • Fixed Satellite Service • General SRD’s introduced within Recommendation 70-03 • Amateur service and amateur satellite service • Any output document of SE38 will not be issued outside WGSE until after July 2003
UK preparation for SE38 • A UK briefing group is to be created, chaired by Steve Bond, who will lead the UK delegation in SE38 • UK SE38 is open to participation from UK registered companies with a substantial UK presence
Purpose of UK SE38 • Preparation of UK contributions to SE38. It is expected that this will mostly consist of the sharing studies on which UK policy has been based • Preparing a UK view for SE38 meetings, taking account of other relevant UK groups • Reports to UK WG SE, including proposing the UK line to be taken in WG SE on SE38 issues
