Survival Quest Get ready to learn classroom survival skills with your crash crew!
Survival Quest • Quest: The act or an instance of seeking or pursuing something • Our quest: • Help you learn about the novel Hatchet • Help you learn about classroom survival skills Your CRASH CREW will be your largest asset in this unit.
CRASH CREW • Your crash crew will be here to support your survival behavior for the entire unit. • You will gain a survival tool for each chapter that you have all of the required materials present and completed. • Who are your crew members?
CRASH CREW RESPONSIBILITIES • What your crew is responsible for: • Each crew member’s text • Each crew member’s guided reading • Group work and presentations • Chapter Cereal Boxes
CRASH CREW DISQUALIFICATION • How can your crash crew be disqualified from the survival quest? • Repeated Disruptive Behavior • Not following classroom policy • Cheating or Plagiarism
FIRST TOOL HANDOUT -Write down the numbers of your crash crew texts. If they are missing, you will be able to look out for their book. -Do not take another student’s book to help your crash crew.
Exit Ticket • Take the last five minutes of class to describe your top tool discussed in your DGP. You will need to write at least five sentences. • What colors does it contain? • What sounds does it make? • What does it smell like? • What does it taste like?
