  2. Pastor Henderson: Family dedication expresses the desire of parents to rear children according to the teaching of Scripture: “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

  3. Parents: We pledge ourselves to raise our child according to the Word of God.

  4. Pastor Henderson: Fathers should lead the way and assure the responsibility for spiritual training in the home.

  5. Fathers: As the head of our home and the spiritual leader to my family, I dedicate our child to the Lord and pledge to bring this child up “in the love and instruction of the Lord.”

  6. Pastor Henderson: God has given special gifts to mothers for the tender care and love of children. Nothing can take the place of a mother’s love.

  7. Mothers: In recognition of the unique roll God has given me in love and care, I dedicate our child to the Lord and pledge to rear this child with all the love and tenderness of my heart.

  8. Parents: Together we will strive to live in such a Christian way that our child will learn moral values and the love of God through our lifestyle.

  9. Congregation: We rejoice with these parents in the gift of the life entrusted to them. We join in the dedication by pledging to live in a godly way before these parents and children.

  10. Everyone: Thank you God for the joy of this moment. Help us to keep the vows made today.
