  2. To analyze • We analyze problems/ a situation/information • To analyze = to make an analysis

  3. An attitude • How we feel or think about something. • It is usually positive or negative. • We often show it to other people. • It can be cheerful, friendly, etc.

  4. A category • A type or class of something • We put things in a category. • A Category 2 hurricane

  5. A contrast • A difference that we can see • What types of contrast do you see?

  6. To be critical • To look for things that are wrong • To be critical = to criticize = to offer criticism

  7. To be deliberate • Deliberate = on purpose = intentional • When Lucy picks up the football, it is deliberate – not accidental. • Lucy and Charlie Brown • Which is deliberate? A mistake or a plan?

  8. To be excessive • Excessive = too much of something! excessive packaging
