To form the present tense for be and have Rule No. 1 Use is(form of the verb to be) and has with a singular noun and with the pronouns it, she, and he. Examples: The dog is men’s best friend. It/she/hehas a loyal and sweet personality.
To form the present tense for be and have Rule No. 2 Use am(form of the verb to be) and have with the pronoun I. Examples: Iam the oldest student in my class. Ihave ten candies inside my Halloween bag.
