Skills for Change - our story • Toronto, Ontario | 1982 • Skills for Change opens its doors • Office work training centre for women from Southeast Asia • Addressed labour market needs with innovative programs that could harness global talent of immigrants and refugees. • Present day • 5 locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area • 14,000 assisted each year • sector-specific training, e.g. engineering, health care, agrology, accounting and finance, trades, IT and administrative skills upgrading.
