  3. Reading • As a class read through page 60 “The English Invasion of Ireland” • Why did Ireland fall easily to the English? • Read pages 63 – 65 • Who brought Scotland together and how?

  4. The Kingless Country • Watch the video • Write a diary entry as if you are King Edward I of England. • How has the death of his brother-in-law presented an opportunity for him?

  5. Homework • Find out who William Wallace was and write a funeral speech for him: • When and where was he born? • What did he accomplish? • When and how did he die?
