  2. Why a Dipole? • Driven element from a MA5B Yagi • Steerable (Armstrong method) • Low angle of radiation • 3 bands 10/15/20 plus low SWR • Robust • Small footprint in my tiny garden!

  3. ARRL DXCC (DX Century Club) • 100 QSLs required for the basic award • Currently 340 DXCC entities (331reqd. for ‘Honour Roll’) • No /MM allowed • Online logging and verification system using LoTW • QSL cards verified by ‘Field Checkers’ • All amateur bands allowed (but no repeater QSOs!)

  13. QSLing • Find station on QRZ.com • Establish QSL manager or station address • Send 2$ plus SAE • OQRS option • Don’t bother with the QSL Bureau! • No EQSL ✗ • LoTW allowed ✓
