Key Findings • Most members (79.5%) are somewhat satisfied or satisfied with the time, location, food, and structure of the monthly meetings • Expectations for presenters: • Current and relevant topics • Emphasize application in actual work settings • Link to relevant research (and preferably provide the theoretical underpinnings of the topic) • Presenters are I/O psychologists or have strong I/O-type credentials
Proposed Actions • When selecting speakers, VP-Programs will address these areas: • What they know (information); • How they know it (research); and • What they do with it (applied) • Experiment with incorporating more interactive elements into meetings (table talks and tasks) • Conduct in-depth survey to identify specific (versus broad) topics of interest
