religion My family's religion is hindu (हिंदु)
clothing • In America we wear shorts and t-shirts or blue jeans and shirts or something else. You can also wear ripped jeans to school and on the streets. • In Nepal we have to wear a white shirt (with buttons). A tie and shorts (boys) or a tie and a skirt (girls) both with no stains or they will keep slapping you in the class/ in school you can not go. you cannot ever wear ripped jeans ever.
food • Almost every day we eat rice. on special occasions or if we feel like it we eat dumplings. .some times we eat what is called naan it is an Indian type of bread coved in butter and if you have it with lentils it is out of this world . We even eat a thi dish called queto it is tasty and spicy. If you ever eat at an Indian restaurant ask for chicken tikka massala it is off of the hook try it!
Art and music We play Nepali music and prayers. Our instruments are drums called madal and flutes .Flutes are made out of bamboo. Are drums are made out of wood and dry goat hide.
Ethnic or racial background • I am from a hindu family. My caste is Brahmin. Brahmin is considered a high level cast in Nepal.
liturature My favorite type of liturature is action and adventure also holy books here are 2 books: • No Time Stops for a Mouse • Geronimo Stilton and the Great voyage • Ramayan
family I come from a family from Nepal my grand parents are in Nepal they do not visit much ,and most of my family are in Nepal.
holidays We celebrate: • Dashain • Thiar • Holi • Nag Puja • Theej
Government/economic system • Our government is a democratic and a republic government that lets people vote for their leader. Our government is a limited government a limited government means “everyone’’ must follow the rules.
