Ontario Aphasia Interest Group presents: Doing therapy differently: Incorporating an adult learning approach into couple communication training – Results of a YDAC-MODC pilot Presenters: Riva Soren-Peters & Ruth Patterson • Objectives: • To provide an overview of adult education principles and the Kolb’s experiential learning cycle • To discuss how the Kolb’s model can be applied to one-on-one and group interventions for aphasia • To provide an overview of a YDAC-MODC pilot project incorporating adult education principles in a couple communication training program using a semi-group format • To provide a forum for discussion re: implications and future applications of the adult learning approach in speech-language pathology Date: June 6, 2013 Time: 3:00 – 4:00 PM Location: Baycrest Hospital - Classrooms ABC This event will be videoconferenced from Baycrest  to various other participating sites.
