ACSDA GOVERNANCE REVIEW AND WORK PLAN • The Executive Committee is undertaking a review of ACSDA’s governance following a commitment made at this year’s General Assembly, including; • Mission, objectives and structure of the Association • Review of the by-laws to ensure they remain appropriate for the Association e.g. election process, membership requirements, Executive Committee (Size, structure and function) etc. • Work plan, priorities • Results and recommendations will be presented in 2012

WORLD FORUM of CSDs (WFC) • An association of the world’s 5 regional CSD Associations • Formed at CSD 11 – evolution of the CSD Contacts Group • Collectively exploring areas where the world’s CSDs and CSD Associations can collaborate, e.g. • CPSS/IOSCO • Association of Global Custodians (AGC) • CSD Conferences

CPSS/IOSCO – PRINCIPLES FOR FINANCIAL MARKET INFRASTRUCTURES • March 2011 - Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems and the Technical Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions issued Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures • May - July - A small task force of ACSDA members carried out an extensive review of the Principles • July 28th– ACSDA submitted a comment letter regarding the principles which is available on the ACSDA website. A number of ACSDA members also submitted comment letters • August 2nd– WFC submitted a comment letter to which ACSDA contributed • 2012 – Revised Principles and an Assessment Criteria are expected to be issued early in 2012. ACSDA and the WFC will actively participate in the next phase of the process

  9. 2012 GENERAL ASSEMBLY • ACSDA’s 14th General Assembly • Hosted by Deceval S.A. • March 28 – 30, 2012 – Cartagena, Colombia • Venue – Santa Clara Sofitel Hotel in the Old City of Cartagena • Deceval hosted ACSDA’s Seminar in Cartagena in 2004

  10. CSD 12 – ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA • The 12th Bi-annual global conference of CSDs • Hosted by AECSD and the Russian CSDs • May 29 – 31, 2013 – St. Petersburg, Russia • ACSDA again participating on the Organizing Committee • ACSDA members have hosted the event on 3 occasions
