  3. EDUCATION & SOCIAL SERVICESFACILITIES MANAGEMENT ASN TRANSPORT - REVIEW • Route planning of journeys direct from communities to schools • 3 year contracts • Mandatory training for Contractors • Reduced journey times for pupils • Regular communication with Schools, Parents & Contractors

  4. EDUCATION & SOCIAL SERVICESFACILITIES MANAGEMENT ASN TRANSPORT OUTCOME OF REVIEW • More competitive tenders • Reduced journey times for pupils • Introduction of Pupil Passport • Save £250k per annum

  5. EDUCATION & SOCIAL SERVICESFACILITIES MANAGEMENT SOCIAL SERVICES TRANSPORT REVIEW OVERALL AIM • To provide sustainable, appropriate transport to support the delivery of Health and Social Care outcomes; and • To achieve a reduction in expenditure of £200k per annum by 2014/2015

EDUCATION & SOCIAL SERVICESFACILITIES MANAGEMENT SOCIAL SERVICES TRANSPORT REVIEW ASSOCIATED AIMS • To increase availability of Community Transport to support the Transformation Strategy; • To support the Grants Review of Community Transport; and • To support sustainability of Coalfields Community Transport.

  7. EDUCATION & SOCIAL SERVICESFACILITIES MANAGEMENT SOCIAL SERVICES TRANSPORT REVIEW FLEET/VEHICLES • 10 new fully accessible vehicles; • 5 Coalfield Community Trust (South) • 5 Internal Provision (North) • Vehicle delivery March 2014

  8. EDUCATION & SOCIAL SERVICESFACILITIES MANAGEMENT SOCIAL SERVICE TRANSPORT REVIEW LOGISTICS Current Social Services Transport Provided by:- • In house provision • External contractors This gives us the opportunity to review service to provide a more integrated and journey based provision.
