Have you witnessed alcohol-related anti-social behaviour in Botley? • Of those who have not witnessed anti-social behaviour personally, 17% have heard about it from others • Of those who have witnessed anti-social behaviour, 40% said incidents took place at or outside local public houses • Of those who witnessed an anti-social incident, 25% reported seeing the police on the scene at the time, and 20% went on to report the incident themselves
2. Do you feel safe in Botley? • Of those who have not witnessed anti-social behaviour personally, 91% feel safe in Botley • However, of those who have witnessed anti-social behaviour, only 59% feel safe in Botley • The principal concerns voiced by respondents were gangs of youths in the streets, associated drunkenness / intimidation (especially at weekends), and speeding cars on local roads

Do you think there is sufficient police / PCSO presence in Botley? • Of those who say they do not feel safe in Botley, 95% do not think there is sufficient police / PCSO presence in Botley • Even among those who have not witnessed anti-social behaviour , 55% do not think there is sufficient police / PCSO presence in Botley • The most popular places of request for greater police / PCSO visibility are Botley Square, Mortimer Road car park and Botley Rec, with the emphasis on evening patrols
