Introduction • Objective • To provide a clean and healthy environment / venue during the staging of the Mataatua Kapa Haka Festival, 2010. • To make the invited guests, VIP’s, Participants and the general public aware of the clean green policy of the organising committee. • Outcome • That the collection and removal of rubbish is done in a coordinated and safe manner • The Beach venue is left clean.
Project Overview • Project description • To provide sufficient rubbish bins within the entire venue/arena area to prevent rubbish from being strewn all over the ground. • KEEP OUR BEACH AREA CLEAN. • There is to be a bin for each of the following at specific locations; Paper, food, plastic / Bottles & Tins. A Bin is to be located by the toilet for toilet rubbish A Bin is to be located by the Kids area for disposable nappies. • To provide a voluntary team to manage the collection & removal of rubbish. • The bins are to be emptied at least every 2 hours throughout the day/night into the appropriate skip bin. • Food scraps will be disposed of by • Project team Leaders. - Joe & Bettina
Unit requirements The unit will consist of: 1 Bin for paper 1 Bin for plastic / bottles / tins 1 10L Bucket for food scraps 50 Phages / 16 Drums (ODC) 10 X 10L Buckets with lids for food scraps Runanga Truck can carry 12 phages at one time. Truck to dispose of rubbish – Confirmed – (20 phages) Quad-bike to collect rubbish from each area – confirmed
Rubbish & Scrap FoodRemoval • Rubbish will be removed by the team on Sunday. • Food Scraps will be removed by Mr Wayne Maxwell • All the bins will be collected by Joe and Bettina and returned after the event. • All food Stall managers are to maintain their own areas and dispose of their rubbish in the bins and scrap buckets provided.
All workers will be given meal tickets for the Kaimahi tent. However, if you wish to indulge in food from the stalls, you may do so at your own expense. Water will be available from the Kaimahi tent.
