Mission of IAB on TE • Serving Telecom Industry needs • Accreditation activities for TE Program • Common goal: make sure that UTD products (e.g, graduating students, research outcome) best serve Industry

Discussion and Tasks • Identify Industry needs and help establish objectives/outcomes for the TE Program (B.S, M.S., Ph.D.) List current needs:
Discussion and Tasks • Continuous review of Industry needs to ensure objectives/outcomes stay current Every 3 months? More frequently (initial period)?
Discussion and Tasks • Identify mechanism to assess achievement of objectives/outcomes, e.g., data input that we need to study Course evaluation Students’ teaching evaluations Companies hiring and job positions

Discussion and Tasks • Determine further development of the TE program based on evaluation, e.g., well defined action plan resulting in improved achievement of objectives/outcomes How do we make process documented and accessible to stakeholders?
