  4. About the Programme • Programme overseen by Governance panel comprising industry/EA • Decision making framework: • Integrates different strands of research • Involves input from mining companies, environmental authorities and other key stakeholders

  5. Benefits of a Decision Making Framework • More streamlined Process • Reduced time • Increased certainty • Avoided costs • Well focused monitoring requirements and regimes • Unsuitable sites
