The Tree • The tree represents the tree that fell on Tommo’ s father because he was trying to save Tommo.
The Gun • The gun represents the gun that killed Charlie. Charlie was Tommo’s brother and best friend.
The broken heart • The broken heart represents the way Tommo feels when he finds out that Charlie has gotten the one he loves pregnant.
The Dirt • The dirt represents the dirt the soldiers were forced to lay in day-in and day-out when in battle
The Letter • The letter represents the two letters sent by Molly, Charlie and his mother to Tommo.
The Tears • The tears represent the tears Tommo shed when he found out Anna died innocently.
The smile • The smile represents the smile everyone got on their faces when Charlie lipped off Sergeant Hanley.
The Wolf • The wolf represents their Grandmother who they called Grandma Wolf. She was a horrible women.
Oranges and Lemons • The oranges and lemons represent the song Big Joe always sings. Big Joe is their mentally disable brother.
The clouds • The clouds represent Heaven. Bertha, Tommo’s dad and Charlie all go to Heaven. Big Joe loves Heaven.
Holding Hands • Holding hands represents Charlie and Tommo always being together and Charlie staying with Tommo no matter what.
