Existing Zone Label programming maintained.

  3. Application Notes • Yellow version stickers applied to master and product cartons. • If using a V1.2 or lower keypad on a V4.6, wireless programming will be 2 digit entries. Enter sections [01]-[99], allows for 64 wireless zones. For sections [100]+ you must use a RFK5564 keypad. • Template programming – Enter “0” to first digit to secure the first 8 zones programming. 4. Easy Wireless Device Enrollment • Initiation of the easy wireless device enrolement process is performed by accessing installer’s programming [*][8][Installer Code], followed by entry of section [898]. The keypad will prompt “Wireless Enrolment Mode” • Activate the device to enrol as described in the associated installation sheet. The electronic serial number (ESN) is displayed. Press [*] to confirm the ESN, or [#] to discard. This screen will remain until the installer either confirms or discards the serial number. • After confirmation of the wireless key or zone serial number, the system will automatically prompt for the zone number. If 3 zones have already been enrolled, the zone number will be preloaded with “04”, however the installer may decide to enrol the zone as zone number 15. The next zone that is enrolled will preload the zone number with “04” again and not “16”. Also if the 1st through 14th serial number is enrolled (in this situation), the next available zone number will be “16”, and not “15”, as the previous zone number slots are already occupied. The installer can enter digits [01] to [64] if the serial number is for a sensor, and digits [01]-[16] if the serial number is from a wireless key. Press (*) to accept the zone number automatically selected by the system, or simply enter the 2 digit zone number to proceed to the next step.

  5. Easy Wireless Device Enrollment • Once the zone number has been selected, the installer shall select the zone type for the zone. The default zone type suggested by the system is linked to the serial number that has been received. The installer may press [*] to select the default zone type, press [#] to exit to return to the serial number confirmation screen, or can enter any 2 digit zone type. The system will automatically enable zone attribute 8, wireless, after the zone type has been selected. The system will also automatically assign the key or zone to partition 1. Panic pendants have the wireless supervision bit automatically disabled, as they are not supervised devices. • After the zone type has been selected, the keypad will sound acknowledgement beeps and automatically enter individual device placement test for the zone that was enrolled. After the device has been placement tested, the installer can press # and the system will return to waiting for new serial numbers (step 1)

  6. Label Library Operation Example for programming Upstairs Motion • Starting Screen ([*][8][Installer Code][*][001]) – Note the cursor position • Installer presses [*] • The installer presses [*] again • The first word entry is Up, which is word 188 in the list. So the installer enters 188 • The installer presses [*] to select the word, and is now brought back to the label screen to show the word entry. Note the cursor position. • The installer presses [*] again

  7. Label Library Operation Continued Example for programming Upstairs Motion • The installer presses [*] again • The next word is Stairs, which is number [174] • The installer presses [*] and is brought back to the label screen • Recognize whether the next word will fit on the display. Each line supports a maximum of 14 characters. The phrase UpStairs Motion requires 15 characters so it won’t fit in the top line. The keypad will automatically move the word that doesn’t fit to the next line. press [*][*] to re-enter the word library, and enters number 124 for Motion. • The installer presses [*] again to select the word and is brought back to the label screen. If there isn’t enough space on the BOTTOM line to enter a word, program as many characters as possible in the space remaining. • As a final step, the installer must still save the label. Pressing # at this screen will exit the label programming entry and the label will return to the previously programmed label. To save the label, the installer must press [*] to access label programming options and then scroll left once. Press [*] again to save the label
