Our Process • Requirements prioritization and analysis • Risk-informed decision process with system reliability considerations • A river systems approach coordinated between Walla Walla and Portland Districts • Conduct technical requirement review meetings annually • Communicate requirements, risks and the plan

  5. Walla Walla District Extended Outage Requirements • Funding dependent • P&S – Plans & Specifications • BCOES – review to evaluate biddability, constructability, operability, environmental, sustainability

  6. Coordination Objectives • Program coordination with stakeholders • Communicate intended outage time frame • Communicate items in President’s Budget (usually February time frame) • Goal: 2017 Extended Outage • Funding dependent • Expected outage approximately 14 weeks • Will begin formal coordination when we have FY16 budget information

PSMP Schedule (15 August 2014 Update) 15 Dec 2014 – Dredging Start • Schedule Drivers • USFWS and NMFS Plan BiOp 15 Nov2014 – Redd Surveys at HLD 30 Oct 2014 – Award Contract 29 Oct 2014– Permit Decision 28 Oct 2014 – Sign ROD 23 Sep 2014 –End of Public Review FPSMP/EIS Sep 2014 – Water Quality Certification 15 August 2014 – FEIS Filed with EPA 15 August 2014 – P&S BCOE Cert 8 August 2014 – Complete Revisions to EIS 30 July 2014 – BA to NMFS/USFWS FEIS 18 Feb 2014 – DMMO Suitability Determination 20 Jan 2014 – Sediment Quality Report Immediate Need Dredging 19 Dec 2013 – Port Permit Public Comment Period Ends Regulatory Permitting 7 Nov 2013 – Award sediment re-sampling contract 1 Nov 2013 – Receive Port Permit Application 11 Oct 2013 – NWD submit outstanding issues on DEIS comments to NWW 20 Sep 2013 – NWW Complete Draft Response to Comments 7

  8. NWW Budget Trend * Includes some non navigation funds for Lucky Peak, etc. ** Includes funds for both Portland & Walla Walla District efforts ***Includes one time funds-PSMP & other navigation projects.
