  3. Desired Outcome • Distinguished District 2014-15 • 3% net club growth (base: 271) • 3% net membership payments growth (base: ) • 40% club base Distinguished or better

  4. Desired Outcome • This translates into • Goal #1 – 280+ active paid clubs • Goal #2 – 11,356 membership payments • Goal #3 – 109 distinguished clubs

  6. How did we arrive at 271 clubs? Club Growth Club Renewals to min 8 266 clubs renewed 8+ members in April renewals 5 clubs renewed 8+ members after April renewals Total >8: 271 clubs • 17 newly chartered clubs • BASE of 271 • Add 17 clubs = 288 • Less 7 suspended = 281

  7. Suspended Clubs 7 suspended clubs Note Efforts underway to revive several of these clubs, so don’t give up hope! Club Coaches and District Leaders working with Club Leaders • Manning and District Toastmasters Club • Swan City Toastmasters - Dinner Club • Emcee Yammers • Telus Succession • In My Voice Toastmasters Club • Scotia Talks • Eloquent Albertans Club

  9. Historical Context • Last year (2012-13) • No club loss • Reached member payments goal • had 55% clubs Distinguished • May 26 – Jun 30 – 5 weeks left

  10. What Can You Do to Help? • Move with Purpose: Individual Success dovetails into collective success • Use your TREE to foster individual and collective success • Focus on the mission: We empower individuals to become more effective communicators & leaders

  11. Move with Purpose • Leverage Your Success Plan • Recognize where you are in your Distinguished Area and Distinguished Division Plan • Awareness is key! • Use Raffety reports • Use DCP Reports • Use Area Council & Relationships with clubs

  12. TREE: Time, Recognition, Example, Encouragement • Invest in your clubs – Finish Strong • Motivate individual members to complete their communication & leadership goals for the year • For themselves • For their clubs • Individual success drives club success

  13. Recognition • Identify opportunities • Identify goals that can be completed • Celebrate successes already accomplished • Use tools like DPR, Raffety Reports

  14. Example • Visit clubs • Talk up program • Incentive Programs • Share resources, ideas

  15. Encouragement • Encourage members to complete goals • Encourage leaders to inspire members • Encourage guests to join clubs • Encourage everyone to focus on the mission!
