  2. Before Situation This is the building where we planned to install the teddy bear tank we designed.

  3. People who Use The Site People who use the site: Preschoolers, parents and teachers Uses Flushing toilets, washing hands, drinking, cleaning and gardening

  4. Teddy Bear Water Tank • When it rains the rain falls onto the roof and into the gutters. Then there is a plastic funnel with an aluminum pipe connecting to the tanks in the mouth of the plastic teddy bear. It is like a fountain.

  5. How The Teddy Bear Water Tank Works • When it rains the water goes down into the gutters and down into a funnel, and into a pipe connected to the teddy bear water tank. There is a pipe on the feet of the tank leading to the toilets and a pipe leading into an underground tank leading to an outdoor tap. Most of the water goes to the toilets but some goes to the outdoor tap.

  6. Pipes • There is a pipe on the teddy bears foot leading to the dual flush toilets. There is an underground tank leading to an out door tap so the water can be used for gardening.

  7. Playground • The playground is facing the teddy bear tank because it can get kids thinking about saving water at a very young age. It also fits in with the pre school.

  8. Native Plants And Mulch • We also wanted to plant native plants so they use less water than imported plants. We picked native plants because we know that native Australian plants use less water than other country’s plants. • Mulch is a very good type of ground cover to use to take water in and hold water.

  9. Evidence Of Evaluation Our group believes that our model would work because the funnel and the water tank is portable. There will be some problems. The under ground water tank and the underground pipes leading to the outdoor tap would be hard to install. However, we think it would go just fine!
