  3. Aurum’s Cristal® VeneersIndication 1. Young Patients Clinical Situation: Patient desired a fuller smile and to close the spaces in the anterior. Case Planning Tips: Young patients will likely need to have their veneers replaced at some point later in their life. The minimal removal of tooth structure and the strength of the bond to enamel instead of dentin will prevent compromises later, and increase the life of the veneers. Minimal preparation veneers can be removed without difficulty and be replaced many years later. Slide 3

  4. Treatment Plan: Minimal reduction was needed to remove any areas on the teeth that were protrusive to the plane of the desired arch form. These areas were reduced and marked on the consultation model. Slide 4

  5. Clinical Situation 1: Diastema Case Planning Tips: If the space is less than 1mm, the teeth will need to be reduced on the interproximal surfaces to allow enough thickness of porcelain to wrap around in the contact areas. Moderately prepping into the interproximals to remove undercuts will also allow the veneers to draw from the dies and preparations during lab procedures, during try-in and at final placement. 6. Treatment Plan: The diastemas between the teeth were opened up to 1mm and any undercuts were removed from the interpromimal surfaces on the consultation model. Slide 6

  8. Clinical Situation 2: Diastema Slide 8

  9. Treatment Plan: Consultation model prepped interproximally to open the diastemas to 1mm and to remove the undercuts. Slide 9

  13. Treatment Plan: Minimal reduction was completed on the consultation model and marked. The tooth that was out of alignment needed to have significant reduction done to bring it back into the plane of the arch form. Then the bulbous areas on the other teeth were modified to bring them back into the plane of the desired arch form. Slide 13

  16. Treatment Plan: The Consultation model was reduced and marked. The incisal edges were rounded off and the facial surfaces reduced to the bring them back into the plane of the desired arch form. Slide 16

  17. Clinical Situation: Short, aged teeth. Aurum’s Cristal® VeneersIndication 5. Making aged teeth look youthful Slide 17

  18. Treatment Plan: To create longer and more youthful teeth, minimal reduction was done to the incisal edges on the Consultation model to round off sharp edges. Any bulbous areas on the facial of the teeth were reduced and marked. Slide 18

  19. Aurum’s Cristal® VeneersIndication 6. Correcting teeth in lingual version Clinical Situation: Teeth are in lingual version. Slide 19

  20. Treatment Plan: To create a fuller smile, minimal reduction was needed to remove any areas on the teeth that were protrusive to the plane of the desired arch form. These areas were reduced and marked on the consultation model. Slide 20

  21. Aurum’s Cristal® VeneersIndication 7. Post orthodontic treatment Clinical Situation 1: Not all post ortho cases are the final step to finishing a smile. Veneers or restoration may be needed to fill in the remaining spaces, modify the natural shape and length of the teeth and even out or change the shade of the teeth. Slide 21

  23. Treatment Plan: Minimal reduction was needed to remove any areas on the teeth that were protrusive to the plane of the desired arch form. These areas were reduced on the consultation model. This patient had tetracycline staining so with having the patient bleach their teeth, porcelain shade selection and the right choice of shade for the cement the new desired shade can be achieved. Slide 23

  24. Clinical Situation 2: Post orthodontic case with relapse resulting in an open anterior bite. Slide 24

  25. Treatment Plan: Minimal reduction was needed to remove any areas on the teeth that were protrusive to the plane of the desired arch form. The incisal edges were rounded off. These areas were reduced on the consultation model. Slide 25

  26. Aurum’s Cristal® VeneersIndication 8. Shade change /Brighten shade Clinical Situation : This patient was happy with the overall length and shape of their teeth but wanted a brighter whiter smile. Slide 26

  27. Treatment plan: The entire facial surfaces of the teeth being veneered were reduced between 0.5 and 0.8mm. The preps were rounded into the interproximals. This prep will allow enough porcelain ,without being too bulky, to block out or mask the undesirable color of the patients teeth underneath and to ensure the veneer covers the whole facial surface into the interproximals so no underlying color shows at the edges of the veneer.
