Criteria • Use latest OFSTED criteria – be aware how you will be judged – Lesson plans –let them in on the secret – Consider the 10 part lesson • Visit and support each other – discuss what works • Agree what to have ready to show observers!

Assessment for Learning – self assessment! • Record with and alongside if appropriate check understanding – mark as you go – empower support staff to be fully involved • Celebrate learning, effort and praise progress and extend by learning at home

Planning and discussion time What do you need to do? Use latest documents to plan! Agree planning format- long, medium and short! Personalise your lesson plan! Penpictures? Explain the needs and levels of the learners! IEPs – provide adult and pupil versions Use visual, practical approaches Use ICT – build in assessments! Revisit/revise/reinforce and record with and alongside your learners!
