SPANISH SPANISH 1
Things to remember when putting sentences together in Spanish: Now that we are conjugating verbs, we can create more sentences. This, of course, leads to an increased ability to speak and write more of our thoughts in Spanish. It also gives us a chance to review and use everything we’ve learned about grammar so far. • We should check our sentences to make sure they are grammatically correct. Here are some things to look for when editing our work: • Is there a subject? Are we using the correct subject pronouns? • Is the verb conjugated to match the subject? • Are we using the correct articles with the nouns? (el/la/ los/ las to mean “the”, or un/ una/ unos/ unas to mean “a, an,” or “some”) • Does the article agree with the noun in number and gender? • Are the adjectives in the right places? • Do the adjectives match the nouns in number and gender?
