Prologue (1:1-15) • Greeting (1:1-7) • Vss 1-6 Long intro – Why? • Vs 7 – “To all God’s beloved in Rome, who are called to be saints:Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” • Prayer of Thanksgiving (1:8-15) • Vs 8 – how well does Paul know the Romans? • Vs 14 “to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish”

Do you not know that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? “ • 2:1-29 Condemnation of Jews by the Law • Natural Law 2:14 “When Gentiles who have not the law do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law.” • 3:5 “But if our wickedness serves to show the justice of God, what shall we say?
