Documentation in the past : user guide + annexes list of variables codebook description of the variable « (nomenclature of) the socioeconomic position » description of the general anonymous statistics summary of the data available in the data warehouse => this documentation was too limited and inadequate : need of a project to reform this documentation
Documentation project 2004 : submission of a project to Belgian Science Policy, in association with Federal Public Service Social Security Project for 4 years (2005-2009) Research teams : Steunpunt Werk en Sociale Economie, Centrum voor Sociologisch Onderzoek, Centre METICES thorough screening and documenting of the data warehouse : the sources, the structure, the variables, the history, … documentation available on the website of the CBSS first : Word-documents that can be downloaded later : consultable via a Content Management System (CMS)
Results first documentation project more exhaustive user guide profound description of the sources, the variables and their possible values (codes) documentation is better structured => Although important improvement has been made, this is not the endpoint. A lot of important aspects are not explained in the current documentation.
