  1. Derek Schuelein Superintendent of Andover Central School District

  2. Derek Schuelein is a high school principal at Rye City School. He graduated and earned his bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University.

  3. Later, he enrolled to get a postgraduate degree and completed his master's, including his Ed.D. from Manhattanville College. Not just this, but he was also awarded a "Distinguished Dissertation Award" for his thesis.

  4. Following his postgraduate degree, Derek Schuelein joined schools as a high school teacher due to his interest in teaching children.

  5. Derek Schuelein began his career as a high school teacher at Jane Addams CTE High School, Lindenhurst High School, and Rye High School. At all three jobs, he proved himself a devoted and dedicated teacher.

  6. Apart from all of this, Derek Schuelein has also kept himself active in other school-related associations and is a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), and the New York State School Counselor Association (NYSSCA).
