  1. Derek Schuelein Superintendent of Andover Central School District

  2. Derek Schuelein graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree, but then proceeded on to earn postgraduate degrees.

  3. Derek Schuelein earned his master's degree and then his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Manhattanville College, where he got the "Distinguished Dissertation Award."

  4. Derek Schuelein has spent the majority of his time as a high school teacher. He began his career at Jane Addams CTE High School, Lindenhurst High School, and Rye High School.

  5. Derek Schuelein is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), and the New York State School Counselor Association (NYSSCA).

  6. Derek Schuelein appears to be a family person who enjoys passing as much time as possible with his family and assists his spouse with household tasks.

  7. When discussing Derek's various recreational hobbies, he has a passion and interest in skiing as well as in following the financial markets. He also enjoys reading about instructional practises and about the educational professional literature.
