  2. Being in the educational sector for more than a decade, Derek Schuelein has taught himself how to be the most exemplary Principal. His journey as a teacher and leader started in 2002. From there till now, he has achieved much.

  3. Even when education was so much affected negatively by Covid-19, Derek Schuelein did his best to keep everything afloat for the students and teachers. His motto was to promote active and discovery-based learning.

  4. Derek Schuelein also Implemented a zero-based budgeting process and led the development of the Rye high school with a budget of (over $20 million).

  5. As a Principal, Derek Schuelein is also a wonderful father to three kids and a husband to Mairead. He takes care of all his house projects and even built his children a treehouse as his Quarantine project.

  6. A man’s true face is reflected in his behavior at home and work together. Derek excels in both places.
