Centralized SIM Server for iGATE/VoIPBOX GSM FX / UMTS systems Presenter : Eyal Shmueli
vGATE Principles • All SIM cards are stored and operated in one central SIM card server. No SIM cards needed in the iGATE location • The SIM card server provides the necessary SIM data to the remote iGATE / VoIPBOX GSMFXvia an IP connection • These virtual SIM cards can be moved from one iGATE location to another.
TELES.vGATE • Features • SIM card management via IP from one central location • Time-dependent configuration • Limits (multiple time quotas, etc.) • Pause after usage • Automatic recharging of PrePaid SIMs • Intuitive drag & drop WindowsTM-basedmanagement interface • Statistics • Minutes, Calls • ASR, ACD, CDR • Call Generation • Calls & SMS
TELES.NMS (Network Management System) • Management of TELES fixed wireless products • Fault management • Configuration management • bulk installations, automatic update, call home, remote provisioning • Accounting management • Management of Call Detail Records • Performance management • Extensive customizable statistics • Security management
Components • Control Unit: database (MySQL) & administration applications • SIM Unit: contains all SIM cards (up to 10 SIM Units per Control Unit) • SIM 60 module : 60 SIMs per board, 600 SIMs per chassis
Advantages • Not necessary to install SIM cards into each iGATE / VoIPBOX GSM • Reduces costs for maintaining and assigning SIMs at individual iGATEs / VoIPBOX GSM Fx (e.g. traveling costs to replace SIM cards) • Simulate a real mobile phone user behaviour. • A single SIM can be used in different locations (time dependent) • Automatic call & SMS generation • Central configuration of SIM properties (e.g. SMSC, LAIN and Volume settings).
Features • A Control Unit handles up to twenty SIM Units (12,000 SIMs) • Supports UMTS and dual SIMs (UMTS / GSM) • SIM cards can move from one iGATE to another • Cyclical use of multiple SIMs on a single Mobile channel • Easy Assignment of Mobile channels to different Mobile networks • Groups of iGATEs can be managed individually • Flexible allocation of any SIM to any iGATE / VoIPBOX GSM at any point in time • Priority levels for individual SIMs (Assignment priority) • Priority levels for channel hunting (Call Priority) • Support for daily, weekly, and monthly time quotas / limits • Automatic calculation of remaining call time
Features • Real-time alarm signaling • Flexible SIM timer settings • Detailed log files on SIM unit and control unit • Various Reports (Status, SIM history etc.) • Enhanced statistic overview (ASR, ACD, etc.) • Automatic SMS/call generation among active SIM cards call generation to fixed line numbers • Automatic retrieval of CDRs and statistics • Flexible scripting interface
Special functions for Prepaid SIMs • Automatic calculation of remaining call time based on credit query via USSD and SMS • Automatic recharging of PrePaid accounts via USSD and DTMF • Database driven management of voucher codes • Scripting interface for enabling special SIM charging functions using SMS, USSD, or DTMF
SIM Statistics vGateDesktop: SIM view | Reports • Call Statistics
vGateDesktop: Call Chart • Call Chart for Groups or single iGATEs • Views : min/h, ASR1, ASR2, ACD and Duration/Assigned time
vGateDesktop: SIM Reports • SIM History • Max Limit Reached • SIM Errors
Maintenance • vGATE Desktop application also runs on any IP-connected Windows PC (1Mbps bandwidth recommended) • Two level access: read-only / read & write • Drag & drop interface for SIM usage configuration • Direct GATE Manager access • Detailed overview of the 'physical' usage of SIMs at the vGATE SIM Unit • Detailed reports of SIMs for usage, statistics, errors, etc. – including filters • Online status of systems and ports
vGATECtrl | Scripting API • Scripting API is able to import and export various data to and from the vGATE database. • The following functions are possible using the vGATE API: • Changing the SIM settings in the database • Reserving SIMs to iGATEs and controllers • Assigning SIMs to iGATEs and controllers • Exporting various vGATE settings to an ASCII file (Timezone configurations, SIM reservations and settings, iGATE settings)
