  2. Student Senate Officers • President- Aloysius Wounded Head (PSCC) • Vice-President- Garrett Little Bear (WKCC) • Secretary- Rebecca Lone Elk (PRCC) • Treasurer- Kristi Blue Bird (EWCC) • Sergeant at Arms- Cory Eagle Staff (CRCC)

  3. Other Members are: Tyler Lebeau (ENCC) Cory Stover (PHCC) Kyra Poor Bear (WCCC) Members not present: (HSCC), (LCCC) and (PCCC) as of Sept. 28, 2012.

  4. What we have done the past years • During the Fall Semester 2010, Student Senate as well as all College Center got together to revive OLC Homecoming with activities like: Flag Football, Archery, Volleyball, Hand Games, Horseshoe Tournament, College Center Royalty and Cook-out after the all the events.

  5. 2010 Homecoming 2010 OLC Homecoming Theme- “ Taking Back Our Lakota Identity Through Education”

  6. What we have done the past years (cont.) • Spring Semester 2011, We provided a Student Leadership Conference incorporated with Wellstone to provide leadership skills, Teamwork, as well as provide the necessary skills to be a good and positive leader.

  7. (cont.) • Fall Semester 2011: Student Senate continued OLC Homecoming Week with the same activities from the year before, in the addition to the same activities we added the Hand Drum Contest.

  8. Cont. • Spring Semester 2012, We held the next Student Leadership Conference with Wellstone. We’ve done activities from; Icebreakers, learning the different types of leadership styles and evaluated ourselves to determine what leadership style we fall into.

  9. Cont. • We also help sponsored a Native American Fashion held up in Rapid City,SD with Mildj Native Fashion Incorporate. With one condition that they give an opportunity for any OLC students who would like to attend and participate in the event.

  10. Plans for this Fall and Spring Semester. • Planning the 3rd annual OLC Homecoming Week Oct. 22-26, 2012. This years theme for Homecoming is “Rebuilding The Lakota Nation Through Education”. This years activities are the same as the previous years with addition on more Traditional Games like; Night Dance, Wojapi and Frybread Contest and Stick Games.

  11. Plans for Next School years (cont.) • Provide the Student Leadership Conference earlier in the School year. • Get more involve with Native Vote Campaign. • More planning still in the process.
