The animals of the Chinese zodiac • The rat, the ox, the tiger, the rabbit, the dragon, the snake, the horse, the goat (or sheep), the monkey, the rooster, the dog, and the pig(or boar).
The legend • Lord Buddah had a race with all the animals in China. The rat knew he wasn’t going to win so he went on the boars head and jumped off at the finish line. That is why the rat is first and the boar is second. Lord Buddah
Characteristics of the animals • The rat is charming, innovated, and intelligent • The ox is dependable, calm, and methodical • The tiger is daring , reckless, and restless • The rabbit is soft-spoken, graceful, and elegant • The dragon is energetic, eccentric, and full of strength • The snake is graceful, soft-spoken, and wise
Characteristics Continued • The horse is cheerful, quick-witted, and popular • The sheep is shy, gentle, and compassionate • The monkey is clever, quick-witted, and flexible • The rooster is acute, neat, and meticulous • The dog is likable, honest, and intelligent • he boar/pig is honest, simplicity, and sturdy
