  2. EMT-Basic Ride Time • All ride time for EMT-Basic’s will be at Central Oneida County Ambulance Corps (COCVAC) • The available shifts are • 2 students Mon – Sun 0800 – 1800 • 1 student Monday thru Sunday 1800 – 2300.

  3. IF YOU SEE • 2 Student signed up for a day shift do not sign up • If you see one of the “students” named COCVAC Probationary Member: • THIS PERSON COUNTS AS ONE OF THE TWO • If I see 3 students signed up for a day shift I will book off the one who signed up last.

  4. Introduction to the EduBooker • The EduBooker is an online tool for scheduling clinical time • You will use this program to sign up for your ride time.

  6. Using the EduBooker • Start by going to Internet Explorer • Other browsers will not work • Go to our website www.midstateems.org • On the right hand side choose “Schedule Clinical Time” • This will bring you to the EduBooker • You may want to bookmark this site for future use.

  7. Using the EduBooker • Your Student ID will be: • Your last name and first initial: example: • myersl • All lower case • No spaces • All initial passwords are: fsl • Once you sign in you should change your password by hitting the Password Tab • This will prevent anyone else from signing in under your user name.

  8. Profile • After changing your password your next priority is to edit your profile • Use the PROFILE tab to enter your contact information • Enter your phone number and email address • This will allow us to contact you if necessary.

  9. Messages • Check messages on the home screen every time you sign on • It is our way of communicating • Click on them only if they are specific for EMT-Basic students.

  10. Booking Shifts • On the home page click the Book On tab located the top left • Pick EMT-B Ride Time from the drop-down menu • Pick a date you would like to ride using the drop down calender • Available shifts have a Book Ontab on the far right of each time slot • Click the Book Ontab to book your shift • Remember only 2 on day shifts and 1 on night shifts.

SIGN UP TIME LINE: BY 1700 HRS ON THE FINAL SUNDAY • You must sign up for the coming week no later than Sunday at 1700 hours: • EXAMPLE: • You want to ride on Tuesday July 9th you must book on to the shift no later than Sunday July 7th 1700 hours. • If you have any questions about this please call me!

  12. ALL RIDE TIME MUST BE COMPLETED AND DOCUMENTATION TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR BEFORE THE STATE FINAL PRACTICAL SKILLS EXAM

Booking Off • If you have a conflict for a shift you have booked, you can “Book Off” • This should be avoided if possible • There are a number of other students that need ride time shifts. • Please if it is less than 24 hours before the shift contact Leslie and let her know you are booking off.

  14. You and The EduBooker • Please use the EduBooker only for the purposes of booking your ride time • This is a new application and there may be a few bugs to work out as we go • Please follow these directions carefully.

COCVAC Information • For directions: go to Cocvac on facebook or www.cocvac.org • The street address is: 7489 East South Street, Clinton NY 13323 (It located just outside of Clark Mills yet has a Clinton address) • When you arrive park on the side of the building where the ambulance bays are. There is an entrance on the parking lot side • In case you arrive and the building is locked : 315-853-2118 press “0” • Do not use this number to schedule or change ride time.

Clinical Packet • You will be given your packet at COCVAC • This packet must be completed • If you go on calls you must complete a PCR for each call • Attach the PCR’s to the packet • Evaluation of clinical time should be completed • If you wish to do this anonymously you may remove the evaluation form and fax the completed form to Faxton St Luke’s EMS Education Coordinator Tony Salce at 738-8986. • IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BRING YOUR COMPLETED BLUE PACKET TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR!

  19. DRESS CODE • Black pants, black shirt, black boots or shoes • No excessive jewelry • No excessive perfume, aftershave • Long hair should be worn up but not in a ponytail • You may be sent home if you do not adhere to the dress code.
