  8. Rotary Foundation Programmes • Foundation District Grants • Small scale local or international projects • Foundation Global Grants • Minimum project size $30,000 (approx. £20,000) • with international partner • Includes Global Scholars and Vocational Training Teams

Rotary Foundation Programmes • Incoming Scholars 2012 – 13 • Ambassadorial Scholars • Centralised administration through TRF • 16 coming to London September 2012 • Global Scholars • Random applications direct to Clubs or District • Latest information 11 scholars hoping to come to London • Host Counselors required • Host Clubs must have attended Grant Management seminar

  10. Rotary Foundation Contributions • Contributions enable Rotary the world over to achieve amazing things • More than any individual or Club can achieve alone • Every Rotarian Every Year • Sustaining Members : approx £1 per week • Every Rotarian in London = £100,000 (inc gift aid)

Rotary : End Polio Now • 1985 Rotary made a promise to the world • Eradication of polio • 2011 only 650 cases in the world • Endemic countries • Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Nigeria • 2012 India : 12 months (from January 2011) without a case • Ongoing • Must continue immunisations throughout the world until 100% free for 3 years • Polio is only a plane ride away • Please keep making contributions until the job is done!!
