Personality Poster Find a picture in a magazine (or draw a picture) that you feel represents you. Write a paragraph explaining why this picture represents you.
Self Image: how we view ourselves Affected by: Social Comparison > grades, body image Dove campaign Packaged by how other people see and treat you Significant others > important people .
Significant others Who has been a significant person in your life? Can we control the influence people have on us? Take a moment to write a thank you note to an important person who had a positive impact on your life.
Self-esteem Refers to overall evaluation of oneself “The Rosenburg Self-Esteem Scale” Rosenburg chose to evaluate self-esteem based on a scale.
Self-worth The picture of the individual worth each person has • Self talk: non-verbal mental speech we use when we think about something, solve problems, make plans
Traits Stable and consistent characteristics that show how people differ.
Big Five- OCEAN O – openness to experience C- conscientiousness (level of organization) E – extraversion (level of comfort in social settings) A – agreeableness (level of cooperativeness) N – Neuroticism (level of ease)
Pair up with a partner and answer the following question: What is one of your strengths? What is one of your weaknesses?

Answer one of the following questions and share it with a partner: What (who) boosts your self-esteem? What (who) makes you feel good about yourself? What (who) brings positivity into your life? When do you feel you are at your best?
Reflect on your answer and be REAL with yourself: Is your happiness based on your performance or others? Is it based on one thing/person? Is it temporary? Is it healthy?
Do others affect our decision making? What situations should we listen to others? What situations should we ignore others? Who do you listen to? Why does their opinion matter?
Let’s continue to dive into who we are and why we make the decisions we do. How is our decision making influenced by our upbringing? Were we born with this? Can we change?
