  2. MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the FEF educational technology program is to become the premiere technology program in the Philadelphia area. Our program will help broaden the Technology knowledge of the students who attend our program and help giving students the ability to strengthen their learning strategies through utilizing technology tools provided for them.

  3. By doing this FEF will: • Assist children with the necessary technological tools to complete necessary task. • Strengthen learning and comprehensive abilities. • Prepare the youth in our program to become confident with utilizing technology to learn create and work as a team to achieve their academic level.

  4. VISION The vision of the FEF Educational Program is to work as a team to provide our children with a new way to achieve the full learning experience by utilizing their school and community to successfully remain in touch with the world with various emerging technologies facing us in today’s world of technology. This will include professional staff that will be dedicated to partnering with parents and the community, in its entirety to keep students in tune with their educational needs by doing the following:

A curriculum and instructional/technology program that focuses on reflective thought, teamwork and the ability to express themselves to obtain help where needed. • Professional development/training to make room for professional growth. • To promote a sense of confidence for students to achieve all expectations required of them. • An assessment system that will focus on student achievement by gathering the necessary data collected by the professional staff.

SHARED VALUE • Us at the FEF Educational Technology Program believe that the students have the ability to successfully progress as long as they put forth a great effort to do so. • We here at the FEF Educational Technology Program promote a well diverse and sound educational/technology program to make the educational experience interesting and great learning experience.

  7. NEEDS ASSESMENT An investment in wireless access throughout the school and provided wireless laptops and desktops has approached the School district to boost technology to enhance and renew the teaching and learning process. Knowledge of software provided to our educational program and additional hardware for the classrooms and hallways is needed to integrate a new form of technology for the communication and learning process. Our team has reviewed and recorded that these items and needed will have a definite impact on the instruction from our staff and to our students. The team/staff selected are aware of various curriculums and technology needed and will meet on a regular basis during Professional Development to identify and resolve any issues sought throughout the program.

  8. GOALS & STRATEGIES GOAL #1: By 2012, All students will reach will increase their academic potential in mathematics and reading by 35 percent utilizing the technology software “Achieve 3000”.

  9. Goal #2: By 2012, All students will become proficient in technology by utilizing the Apple I-PAD to navigate through the educational software, complete necessary academic assignments and communicate effectively through email which will be provided by the school.

  10. Goal #3: By 2012, To incorporate parent training and workshops to better understand what tools their children are using to increase their proficiency levels

  11. BUDGET Potential funding will be provided by a grant from the State of Pennsylvania, requesting $50,000. This grant will be specifically for the integration of technology tools needed to fully assist the children to achieve their goals and to enhance the teacher’s knowledge of technology as well.

  12. MONITORING Their will be a Technology Review Team that will monitor the progress by utilizing the School Districts strategic observation and evaluation tools, guided by the Technology Review Team’s strategic plan. The Technology Review team will meet on a quarterly basis to evaluate how integrated technology has helped the students achieve their academic goals. Professional Development Team will meet yearly to assess to review all necessary observations by the Administrator and determine how this Technology Plan has benefited our students.
