  1. Basic Crochet Start by twisting a loop… Pull the yarn through to make…

  2. Basic Crochet …a slip knot. Place the yarn on your hook and snug up loosely.

  3. Basic Crochet Loop the yarn over your pinky and point your pinky up…. Turn your palm away and bring the yarn to the back of your hand.

  4. Basic Crochet Pinch the yarn tail between your thumb and middle finger. Hold the hook in your working hand….

  5. Basic Crochet Move hook under yarn and wrap it around the hook… And pull the yarn through, creating a series of loops, your foundation chain.

  6. Basic Crochet You now have a foundation chain. We will begin to work single crochet stitches (sc) Insert hook into the 2nd chain (ch) from hook.

  7. Basic Crochet Yarn over by wrapping the yarn around the hook… And pull up a loop. There will now be 2 loops on your hook.

  8. Basic Crochet Yarn over (yo), Pull through both loops.

  9. Basic Crochet Continue by working into each chain in the same way.

  10. Basic Crochet To work half-double crochet (hdc), yo before inserting hook into 3rdch from hook Yo and pull through all three loops on hook

  11. Basic Crochet For double crochet (dc), yo, insert hook into ch, Yo, pull through 2 loops on hook…

  12. Basic Crochet Then yo and pull through last 2 loops…. Dc completed!

  13. Basic Crochet For treble (tr), yo twice before inserting hook into ch, You now have 4 loops on hook,

  14. Basic Crochet Yo and work loops off in pairs, Until you have worked them all off. Treble completed!
