DEER MADE BY KOHL, KELLI AND ADRIANNA.
Food • During the summer they will be eating your soybeans and alfalfa. • Then, in late fall and winter they’ll flock to the high carbohydrate content of your corn plots to fuel their furnaces.
Adaptations • With its sharp teeth the wolf can sometimes kill a deer. It will chase the deer with its feet and then stomp on it with its feet.
REPRODUCE When baby deer are born they have spots on there fur. Then in 20 months the spots are gone.
Traits • Deer have traits from their parents just like any other animal does. Deer traits are horns, fur, eyes, and how they act. Without traits animals wouldn’t know what to do.
Respond to the Environment • A doe has about one or two fawns each time. The doe licks it clean until you cant smell it. A fawn has to stay with its mom for about a year. Deer rub and scratch trees and bushes to mark their territory.
GROWANDDEVELOP In the wild, deer can live up to 10 years or 20 years in a zoo. Zoos are better for animals to live.
Made of Cells • Deer are living because they have animal cells. Some parts in the cells are cytoplasm, nucleus, and the cell membrane. Without cells the deer would not be a living thing.
