  2. Introduction Did you know deer can jump really far? They can jump over streams 30 feet wide and jump over fences 10 feet high. Deer are mammals.

  3. What Does A Deer Look Like • When a baby deer is born it blends in with the grass to hide from Predators. • A little deer has small antlers and a male deer has big antlers. • Some deer are brown and white.

  4. What Do Deer Eat • Deer eat plants, grass, leaves, and flowers. • In the winter deer also eat munch on bark and small branches. • Feeding time is the most dangerous time for a deer. • While it’s eating it’s a easy target for predators.

  5. How Do Deer Move • Deer move by there skinny legs. • Deer can take long graceful strides with there skinny legs. • Deer legs are packed with muscles.

  6. Where Do Deer Live • Deer mostly live in forest. • They live in Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. • There are 1.2 million deer in Georgia.

  7. Cool Facts • When threatened a deer hard pointed hooves can deliver a painful kick. • After a week of hiding a baby deer is able to be right by there mothers side. • Most deer live between 5 years old or 20 years. • In spring deer are able to find juicy food.
