Sports Committeeobjective • Now: Meet twice a week: Monday 1.5hr outside facilities at park (without coach) Wednesday 1hr at gym (with coach) • Future: Requesting for extra 1 hour per week on Wednesday with coach (10 weeks, 10 hr)
Social CommitteeMona Bismarck 2013 • 13th November • American Art and culture foundation • Last year: attendance of 300 people • International/English speaking students from different universities get together (Science Po, Paris 8) • Performances: Live music from AUP musicians and AUP Dancer (Elizabeth Galh)

Roots and ShootsObjective • A social and environmental justice club • Events in Fall 2013 -Seine river clean ups with Organe de SauvetageEcologique -Planting in campus green spaces -Maintenance of bird feeders -Fundraising for scholarships for youth in Tanzania -Volunteering for Frimousse with UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund)
Middle Eastern/Oriental literatureobjective • Inviting guest speaker: Robert Irwin Time: end of November • Who is Robert Irwin? -Historian, novelist, and writer -Expert on the “Arabian Knights” -Middle East editor of “The Times Literary Supplement” -Research associate of School of Oriental Studies -Writer of great influential works such as “For Lust of Knowing: The Orientalists and their Enemies”
National Geographic Film Objective • Exclusive screening by National Geographic Channel & Fox International of “Killing Kennedy” • Organized by the Cultural program, Alexandra Kerr (Film rep), and History department • Alexandra is giving 25 euros of her senator budget
National Geographic Film Objective Screening: - November 5th in C-12 -Food and refreshments -Film and History departments alone with debate club will be holding a debate afterwards on the content of the film
