Alignment of Standards 2012-13 Fall Testing
REQUIRED TESTING FOR SPECIAL POPULATIONS • Alternate Assessment (1%) • ACCESS for English Language Learners • W-APT • ACCESS • Alternate ACCESS FOR ELLS OPTIONAL TESTING AVAILABLE BEGINNING IN FALL • COMPASS • KYOTE
Key Assessment Themes • DATA QUALITY—collaborative process between OAA and school/district staff to ensure accurate reporting of test results • TEST SECURITY—addition of new checks and processes to monitor appropriate administration of state-required tests
Data Quality • Review of student level information • Infinite Campus and Student Data Review and Reporting (SDRR) Application • Test Rosters • Data Review • Before public reporting—August/with release to schools and • After public reporting—10 days after public release
Data Review Fall 2012 • Schools and districts will have opportunity to review student data for accountability and demographics before public reporting. Alldates are tentative. • Planned release to schools and districts is late September-early October. OAA is adding a brief data review window with the release to schools. • Public release is planned for mid-October.
Test Security • Seating Charts will be required for all state-required test administrations. • Seating charts are expected with test administration in fall 2012. • DAC will collect and maintain in case of potential investigations. • Templates will be provided and may be modified at the local level.

Administration Code and Test Security • Appropriate training required for anyone administering EXPLORE/PLAN or EOC • Signatures on Administration Code • Documentation of training • Seating charts that reflect everyone in each testing room (adults and students)
Inclusion Regulation Update • 2009 Inclusion of Special Populations Regulation (EXPLORE/PLAN, EOC: Fall) • Updated regulation still in legislative process • Changes will come after fall testing window ends • New training will be offered after regulation is effective • Immediate impact is likely EOC and ACCESS for ELLs®
