Here’s how it works: 1) You will attend 5 training sessions 2) To improve your knowledge and skills about money – budgeting, banking and borrowing 3) So you can then mentor at least 10 further members of your community 4) Education to take control and then take action

Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about your future, and for motivating yourself and others to turn the world as it should be, into the world as it is • What your personal goals are as a money mentor? • What short-term financial goals do you have? • What long-term financial goals do you have? • what economic changes would you like to see made in your community?
defining between short term and long term financial goals Short term goals Long term goals Intermediate goals Short term goals (usually 1 year or less to achieve) very much depend on the date the task is achieved, the total cost and required savings. Long term goals (usually over 5 years) are those things which wont happen overnight, no matter how hard you work to achieve them.
Examples of these goals may be Long term Short term Buying presents for Christmas or a birthday Buying a washing machine Going on break/holiday Paying of debts Buying a car Retirement plan Buying a house Investing in an education Paying off debts
Budgeting and Financial goals • Identify and write down financial goals • Break each financial goal down into short, intermediate, and long term. • Educate yourself; what do you need to cut out or down on within your current expenditure, check entitlements, what tools do you require to help you? • Evaluate your progress
