Ms. Kolkhorst’s Class December 2nd-6th Important Dates: This week in room 8… Language Arts Contractions Reading Poems Writing Writing Complete Sentences Poems Math Addition & Subtraction to 10 (strategies) Science Earth Materials Social Studies Landforms Bodies of Water Dec. 6th- ck & ke Spelling Test Dec. 13th- y Spelling Test Dec. 20th- End of Cycle Dec. 20th- Holiday Party High Frequency Words 1. also 3. any 2. an 4.all We will have spelling homework every night of the week. Students will complete his or her spelling work in his or her spelling spiral each night and return it to school the next day. This week’s spelling test will be graded. Please continue to practice the sight words. If you need another list let me know. The next administration of the words will be in February. Students must pass this evaluation in order to be promoted to 2nd grade.
