Summary To prepare children for their future as responsibly behaving adults, good schools have to contribute towards developing intercultural awareness through promoting a better understanding of children’s own and of different ways of life and cultures. (Focus: European Juniors) Good schools have to improve social skills to enable children to cooperate in different social relationships by respecting other peoples’ rights and tolerating differences. (Focus Social Education) Good schools have to develop children’s responsibility for their environment. (Focus: project learning about environment)
