Project History • What are the TSP Guidelines? • History (1991 to now) • Contents • Audiences • Why did we update the Guidelines? • Changes to statewide policy and planning regulations (Oregon Transportation Plan + Modal and Topic Plans, TPR, etc.) • Work that led up to the update: • Intermodal Oregon Initiative • Stakeholder Interviews • Coordination Efforts

Goals & Objectives of the TSP Guideline Update • Inform the next generation of system plans • Establish consistency in statewide planning • Address requirements of the TPR • Prepare for future transportation needs • Educate and inform planners and other stakeholders • Develop a dynamic, living on-line guideline platform • Cost-management

Overarching Framework for2018 TSP Guidelines • Format • Web-based deliverable (scalable for different browsing platforms) • Dynamic, livable document with quarterly updates • Not a traditional paper-based guide with chapters • Audience • Policy makers – Answering the What/Who/Why TSP Questions • Practitioners – Scoping/Developing/Administering TSPs • Guidance • Focus on preparing TSP Updates • Templates • Provide starting points that can be tailored
