Where do we go? 2/ • Promote the overall performance of D.E • take into consideration technical evolutions • private companies should access public authorities’ traffic data more easily, PPP • cut the cost for maintenance and operation • Allow for easy integration with multimodal solutions • public transport • interface between TC and freight transport • Handle in a parallel and uniform way international and local traffic information

  9. Conclusions • The EU is moving towards a common vision of DE TI • The MIP/ITS 2001-2006 is a stable framework for the deployment of DE • Data Exchange & Traffic Information Forum: • discussion, consensus building, common work plan • a good complement to national and E-R platforms
