  1. Walking By Faith 2 Corinthians 5:7

  2. Unseen Things • Accept unseen realities as though they are as real as seen realities (Heb. 11:1) • Did not see creation, but accept its reality based on evidence (Heb. 11:3) • Did not see Jesus, but accept His reality based on evidence (Jn. 20:29; Rom. 10:8) • Other matters: news, history, geography, products

  3. Unseen Things • By faith we keep pressing on to the goal (Heb. 11:16) • Knowing God will reward those who diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6) • Knowing our present problems are temporary (2 Cor. 4:17-18) • Knowing our present work is not in vain (1 Cor. 15:58)

  4. Examples • Sardis apparently alive, but really dead (Rev. 3:1) • Laodicea apparently prosperous, but really poor (Rev. 3:16) • Paul looked past outward man to inward man (2 Cor. 4:16)

  5. Walking By Faith Demands Action • The action of walking by faith is illustrated in Hebrews 11 • Noah built an ark (7) • Abraham left for Canaan (8) • Moses forsook Egypt (27)

  6. Walking By Faith Demands Action • Which is the bigger mistake? • A wrong action or a lack of any action? • Notice the two sons (Matt. 21:28-32) • The second one was all talk, no action • The first one changed his mind for the better • “Which of the two did the will of his father?” • Which one am I? • Maybe we need to change our minds so we can do the will of the Father

  7. There is no walking by faith when there is no action!
