  2. Social Media- What’s New: • Snapchat • “Finstagram” • Tinder • Secret Apps • Reddit • Musical.ly

  3. Snapchat Risks: • Teens are led to believe these photos “disappear” which leads to more acting out behaviors. • Nudity, drug and alcohol pictures, words written in Snapchat, etc. • Users don’t have control over snapshots, pictures of the picture, and who sees the picture. • The Newest version of Snapchat does not guarantee that your Snapchats will “vanish into thin air”

  4. Snapchat

  5. “Finstagram” • “Finstas" are private accounts that you only let your closest friends follow. • You post pictures and videos that you wouldn’t want people other than your friends to see. • “Unattractive pictures”, drunk or high pictures, random stories about your day.

  6. Tinder • Tinder is an online dating app that allows you to swipe right (like) or swipe left (don’t like) to other’s profiles. • If both people swipe right you can private message. • Tinder uses geo-location, to find people close to you. • You can set your geo-location to as close as 1 mile away. • The restriction age for Tinder WAS 12 years old.

  7. Secret Apps- KY-Calc • This app hides pictures with a 4 digit code to enter the app. • Looks like a Calculator icon to keep secrecy. • Any other app that says pictures, photo, or vault should be suspicious.

  8. Reddit • The front page to the internet • People post interesting news, memes, questions about topics and random information. • Post “up or down” to determine its position on a subreddit page. • 9th most visited website in United States.
